			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I am so close to getting good scans of 15mm soldiers!</p><p><span class="postimg"><img src="https://www.dropbox.com/s/5lrhjfggpzo5ur3/15mm%20Soldat.PNG?dl=1" alt="https://www.dropbox.com/s/5lrhjfggpzo5ur3/15mm%20Soldat.PNG?dl=1" /></span></p><p>This is a German soldier with a panzerschreck.&nbsp; The scan is not retouched.&nbsp; I have focused the original camera, and upgraded&nbsp; to focusable lasers.&nbsp; I think I&#039;m at the limit of what can be done without upgrading to the 8MP Camera Module v2.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>In these examples, I also have the Image Threshold Mode set to &#039;Static&#039;, with a Laser Threshold of &#039;1&#039;.&nbsp; It generates a bit more noise, but does a good job of capturing small details.</p>]]></content>

I did use the talcum powder technique to knock down the gloss, and make the black bumpers, top, and tires visible.&nbsp; </p><p>I&#039;m quite pleased with the results so far.&nbsp; The Atlas3D seems to have picked up the details nicely.&nbsp; I&#039;m continuing to refine settings, lighting, etc.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I am looking into using opencv for the camera modeling in order to correct the lens distortion that would be present when using a macro lens.&nbsp; Progress has been made but not as much as I would like.&nbsp; I am still working on it.</p><p>- Uriah</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Yes, I&#039;m still working in this area but I haven&#039;t had a chance to devote a lot of time to it yet.&nbsp; I first tried adjusting the focal distance of the 8MP camera to all close as possible and then using a shorter frame in order to increase the relative object size on the sensor.&nbsp; This seems to help, but the results are still not what I would like.&nbsp; The main problem I&#039;m facing is accurately and consistently choosing the center of the laser line with these very small objects.&nbsp; I plan on experimenting with another laser, the Pi NOIR camera, and to see what software changes can be made that will help.</p><p>- Uriah</p>]]></content>
