But when I put the original STL file through Slic3r the layers look fine on the screen, when I process it with XYZware you get the fault line.

My wife says it looks like a design feature so I'll live with it :-)

That line looks like the break between layers, sometimes you can't really avoid it.
Although it does look pretty severe in those pictures.
Some slicers have the option to change the method used for the start point for each new layer, that might help, although not sure if that's possible with a Dav Jr ??

Faults in the print from the STL file or XYZware

Hi,
I've been using an xyz Davinci Junior for a while now and very happy with the prints apart from a small issue with my last project.
In the first picture this was the print from xyzware after slicing, I contacted support about the "fault line" in the print to see if I could do anything, they recommended putting it through an STL fixer which I did, that gave me the second image.

The third image is one I've done in black and I must say it looks fantastic .... except for the fault!

Anyway anyone any suggestions or is it just poor slicing software from xyz, I tried slic3r and it looks fine but of course I can't print it!!!
