I think that in microstepping mode the absolute difference is smaller and therefore there is not much improvements ... </p><p>It&#039;s a bit of pitty but anyway - It&#039;s good to know that I now have the maximum I can get out of the given material!</p>]]></content>

I hope to get it this weekend so I can try and report. The motor is a bit more heavy but gives much more torque due to the design and the higher current I can run with it! I&#039;ve also modified the other stepper drivers so they will run the motors with 1.0A not just 0.825A as in stock version. I think / hope this will compensate the extra weight!</p>]]></content>

The drivers on the board limit the current to about 0.825A anyway - so you will not damage the board! 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Torque is something to consider, especially if you&#039;re keeping the rest of the stock extruder.<br />I think someone mentioned the stock stepper is around 38Ncm so you&#039;d want to replace it with something with similar or better torque.</p>]]></content>
