thank you caswal, i have re-updated the firmware and both pronterface and repetier are now working. i just updated the firmware in january, so i am not sure why i needed to do it again....

any idea for what might have corrupted it?

this solidoodle is becoming more of a drain on my time and resources, as now i am having to trouble shoot a filament issue. our studio has now spent 3x the cost of the printer in hours and resources just trying to get this thing to print error free...

I don't know much about the arduino boot loader. But that feels like to me that the firmware has somehow become corrupted and the bootloader has failed to load the firmware due to checksum mismatch.

I would give updating the firmware a go.

I have been printing successfully for a few months now (and by successfully, i mean I've gotten a couple of good prints and a whole lot of bad prints...) regardless, upon trying to print this morning, I keep getting errors that read:

No Checksum with line number, Last Line:0
Resend:1
Error:Line Number is not Last Line Number+1, Last Line:No Checksum with line number, Last Line:0
Resend:1

This will repeat for about 50 times and then it says:

Traceback (most recent call last):
     File "C:\Python27\lib\threading.py", line 551, in __bootsrap_inner
          self.run()
     File "C:\Python27\lib\threading.py", line 504 in run
          self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs)
     File "C\Program Files (x86)\Solidoodlev4.3\kliment-Printrun-dceaf26\printcore.py", line 228, in _print
          self._sendnext()
     File "C:\Program Files (x86)\Solidoodlev4.3\kliment-Printrun-dceaf26\printcore.py", line 248, in_sendnext
          self._send(self.sentlines[self.resendfrom],self.resentfrom,False)
KeyError: 1

Hopefully I got that all correct, I had to type it out as i could not copy and paste. I have also tried running gcode through Repetier Host. Repetier won't even allow me to connect to the printer. It gives me a similar error about the Checksum last line:0. I have tried printing with brand new gcode as well as old gcode that has printed successfully before.

i have not changed any settings in either pronterface or repetier since my last successful print (successful... well, besides the random shift in the x/y plane...)

I have read through many other post with similar errors and have checked the usb cable length, having the monitor printer off, i have system restored my comp to a previous time before the latest window updates came out, uninstalled and reinstalled the printing software, turned off the anti-virus, all to no avail. any help that i can get with this error will be much appreciated.

Thank you
-Karl
