Sorry, I hadn't seen your reply before deleting my comment about the missing EEPROM settings. I deleted the comment, because after rebooting my computer and toggling the power on the printer, the EEPROM settings are now showing.

The board is ATMEGA644P / Sanguinololu 1.3a.

I reinstalled the drivers. I was able to use RH to move the print head. I started to run a sample part and the printer began to move in jerks as the LED lights on the frame began to flick. Kill Job wouldn't stop it. Neither did Disconnect. So, I unplugged it and it's once again being unresponsive.

Can you tell me what board is on your printer? The reset button should not have caused your issues. That isn't what you think it is for, it's purpose is mainly for flashing firmware. It sounds to me like you are dealing with a driver issue and you should try reinstalling that first. Then we can begin trouble shooting to figure out what is causing the problem.

check printer settings in RH, (default is for SD3/4 bed size) also make sure COM port is connecting correct as when you install some other devices they tend to steal the virtual com port if its a low number thinking its not used. I had to assign like COM port 20 to my printer on my laptop due to this. took me a week to learn this and SD techs could not figure it out, I did myself. other topics relate to this trouble a year or two ago. if its not this maybe you reset firmware pushing that button as thats what its for when flashing updates. or the printer just needs a good cleaning and fresh lube if its stiff and motors skip (can hear a click when they do). my SD2 has done this a couple times lately from all the printing and dust sticking when not used a while.

By way of background, I bought this Solidoodle 2, a few years ago and soon afterwards gave it to my father who admired it. He didn't use it and returned it to me, recently. I'm still running Repetier Host for Mac 0.56 on Mac OSC 10.11.3.

I plugged in the SD2, successfully connected to it using Repetier, made some small adjustments to the SD2 and started to print a calibration part. The extrusion was thinner/smaller than I recalled, but otherwise it seemed to be running fine. I walked away for about 15 minutes to discover that it seemed to lose it's home and was printing later slices shifted by about -100 x, -100 y. I killed the job, reviewed the G-Code for any glaring problems and started a new print job. The second time, it started the print job with the wrong home. I reset the home coordinates and started a third print job and it, again, started to print in the wrong place. Then, I fiddled with Slicr.

Now, it shows as being connected, but I can't move the extruder via Repetier and when running a print job, it shows an image being drawn in the print panel, but the SD2 doesn't actually do anything.

Any guidance on this would be appreciated.
