Before attempting, I just wanted to find out if it makes a difference on whether the Filastruder is completely empty. I'm assuming that the plastic doesn't really ooze very much even heated to 200C. So far, I haven't ran the extruder completely empty. Also, just to make sure I don't goon this up, the procedure I plan to use is:
1. Heat up to 200C
2. Turn off
3. Remove thermocouple / insulation
4. Using pipe wrench on barrel / box wrench on nozzle loosen nozzle 1 turn every minute until it comes off
5. Needle-nose pliers to pull material from screen (remove screen snap ring and acetone soak only if necessary)
6. Reinstall nozzle, thermocouple, insulation
7. Heat up to 200C
8. Tighten nozzle

Does this sound about right?
