Auto makers designed them that way to make it more difficult to replace the radio. Obviously, your Clarion is not a factory radio. Now they are embedding the vehicle info into the radio so if it is stolen, it will (or should) not work in another vehicle. They are making it increasingly more difficult for aftermarket radio replacement.

I can start with the first model I ever modeled and printed. I use SketchUp for modeling and I learn new stuff every time I use it.
