Hey, go wild, I was just my cheap arse lazy way of getting an enclosure, and getting it off my desk. Odd really that it seems to work quite so well. Any improvements you find let me know.

Room organizer though, Hmmm, I'm not to sure about that as it just give you more places to store stuff. So then you end with more crap kicking about than you had before. I'm sure I will sort if out someday, just not today.

My PC is on the other side of the room which is roughly 3m (about 10 feet for those non-metric among us) wall to wall so from the desk it is a spin and a little shuffle but not that bad, it's what the wheels on the chair are for :-)
Due to the distance I do use a USB extension but haven't had any comms problems.

The normal power supply did fit in behind the printer but I've now changed to an ATX supply which is in the cube below. Heatbed mods to come next...or is it the mk4 extruder.....or the new X,Y carriages I've got planned....damn it, I've still got to get the panelulo fitted yet.

I am quite happy with the way it all fits together and to think if I had a larger printer it wouldn't stand a chance of going in the cube, so another win for Solidoodle.

As I have finally got all the parts fitted to my satisfaction it is time to share what I have found.
A passing comment from my daughter got me thinking about places to put my printer so it was out of the way yet still in stight so I could show off :-)
Having a large (5x5) version of the Expedit standing behind me I found the printer fits nicely inside.
With some extra little bits and a glass door (which is another Ikea part) I ended up with this.

The filament spools are on a bit of old pole I had which fit inside the spools with printed holders to keep everything in place.

To get the filament in to the printer they come through some ptfe tube so they don't get caught on anythings and go in to a holder stuck to the roof of the printer enclosure so swapping colours takes seconds.

Even the lovely heart covered pan holder came from Ikea as they were cheap and a pack of two stitched together fits surprising well.

With the door closed it is much quieter in the room and the bed stays warmer between prints so I can progress faster.
The printer comes out easily enough as I've made some holes in the back so any maintenance is a easy.

I am considering getting another door to go around the filament and then have some descant in a pot to keep them all as dry as possible.
