(the bed is too slippery)</p></blockquote></div><p>I have no problem printing on the bed (with Kapton).&nbsp; I also have no problems printing on glass (when coated with hairspray).</p><p>You need to be sure that the bed is both level, and at the correct initial height.&nbsp; Home the printer and try to push a piece of regular printer paper between the extruder nozzle and the bed.&nbsp; You should JUST BARELY be able to shove it under, and once under, you should feel the roughness of the paper as you move the paper around.&nbsp; If the paper goes in too easily, then the nozzle is too far away from the bed, and the first layer will not stick.&nbsp; Do this at four points near the corners of the bed.&nbsp; If the paper does not feel the same at all four points, adjust the height of the bed until the clearance is uniform and correct.</p><p>Repetier allows you to add &quot;brims&quot; to a printout, which increases the footprint of the print to allow it to stick more to the bed.&nbsp; Cura may work, but should not be necessary.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>i&#039;m sick of getting skid on the first layer. i wonder what were they thinking. (the bed is too slippery)</p><p>and i heard the Cura makes neat raft for stable printing.</p><p>so i installed the Cura and tried some calibration for solidoodle 2.</p><p>i set bed size, nozzle size, filament diameter and so on.</p><p>but for some reason Cura doesn&#039;t makes proper G-code for Solidoodle2.</p><p>extruder doesn&#039;t gets right position on the bed and extrudes massive amount of plastic. (it&#039;s disastrous)</p><br /><p>i hope there&#039;s setting file(*.ini) for this program customized with Solidoodle 2.</p><p>if so, plz upload the setting file. i beg for your mercy.</p>]]></content>
