Was working fine on the old firmware now not recognising the cartridge at all.

Had the printer less than a week and they have made it unusable.

Had mine for while today refuses to recognize any xyz cartridges.  Simply doesn't see as there's anything. 
Not as unrecognized non of that . Just as u would not even put one in.


Grrrrr love xyz printers but damn little things like that makes me hate them. 


Anyon . Found any aftermarket firmware yet?

  • "Please note that from firmwares 1.0.5 (Dav 1.0a), 1.2.5 (Dav 1.0), 1.1.5 (AiO) and 2.0 (Dav 2.0a) the printer does no longer read the temperatures from the cartridge (so it can't be changed anymore). Resetting the filament length work fine. Check the product feedback on this site from other users and the voltivo.com forums for more information. Look at firmware downgrading options on the various forums online before purchasing a resetter."

Unfortunately I don't see any info on this with the 1.1 Plus.

I would also agree that a cart resetter would be a good option and would be cheaper.

I would personally recommend Simplify3D if you can afford it.

If all your worried about is filament, and you hate xyzware (like everyone does)  Then you still have decent options.

Get yourself a cart resetter (Or cart eliminator) and then you can use any filament you want.  Second purchase Simplify3D software and dump xyzware completely.    Now you have the control you need and the freedom of filaments....
