I don't know about the XYZ scanner, but if it behaves like the actual Intel RealSense, it requires a PC with a Core i3 4th gen (Haswell) or better and Windows 8.1 or higher. 

While the software will load in Windows 7 or previous generation CPU's, the problem is with the device drivers.  On my 4th gen Core i3 Acer tablet, the RealSense shows 4 devices in the device manager, but on my 3rd gen Core i7 desktop PC it only sees 1 device, and the Intel SDK doesn't "see" the scanner.

So for those that are considering the XYZ scanner, the first thing to check before buying, is to see if they have the minimum hardware requirements.
