sudo nano /boot/config.txt

Find the line that says gpu_mem=128 and change it to

gpu_mem=256

Press CTRL+x to save the file, and type reboot to reboot the Pi.

I used about 1.5lbs of pla and everything fitted perfect never even had to run a 3mm drill through the holes
The complete job took three days and as I was waiting for postage from the usa not a problem
The only problem I ever have is the uk taxman aka blackbeard lol

I didnt use that much filament the whole 1st year I owned my 3D printer LOL.

Following the text only installation instructions is a real PITA!

are you in Britain? why change keyboard? did yours come with a rasberry PI or did you furnish one? and which version PI? all these can make a difference in settings operating system used, voltage cycles etc. seems more info is needed for some users as one size dont fit all.

The image with the X through it is generated when there is a problem initializing the camera.  This is a fairly recent change, in previous versions the software would exit if the camera was not detected or could not be initialized successfully to a particular mode.  If it works in 1.9 MP but not in 5 MP, this usually indicates that there was not enough contiguous GPU memory.  This shouldn't happen if you are using the SD card that came with ATLAS 3D.  What do the following commands output?

uname -a
hostname
grep gpu /boot/config.txt
