Yeah, I'm not sure WHAT's going on. Just for testing purposes, I powered off the printer, hit connect, and it was still read as connected with many of the readings I was getting before. I've included another capture of the log; this is what I get when I simply open RH and press CONNECT.

For the record, however, earlier today, I-WAS- able to heat the extruder and start a print, but the print bed didn't heat up (it never started), so of course the ABS didn't stick and I killed the job. That was the only instance today it worked. ("worked").

For the record Ian, I really appreciate your help.

Yeah, Like I said, the lights and the fan are working, and the S3 hums and responds when I hit the connect button. The extruder reads as 0 degrees and it doesn't change when I wrap my hands around it. It says at the bottom this, however:

Connected Extruder: 0.00 degress C/OFF

So it MIGHT be that the nozzle is off. But I don't know how to turn either that or the print bed on...?

For the record, I don't know how much help this will be, but here's a screenshot of what my window looks like:

Hey Guys.

So forgive my daftness, but I need a little help getting my new S3 operational. I have Repetier-Host, slic3r, Python 2.7.3, unicode support, and the Arduino drivers installed as detailed in the original getting started wiki page.

From there, the next step is to install the filament, which I'm having trouble figuring out how to do. Let's just say there are a lot of screws on this thing. Haha!! If someone can put up a picture tutorial or something, or link to a place I'm missing, that would be very much appreciated.

The next thing is to slice up the model using Skienforge accessed through Pronterface. But the getting started page says S3 users cannot use Pronterface at the moment. So I'm at a loss of where to go next.

My S3 has its lights on and the fan is running, so I know it's at least reactive in that sense.

Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks!! :]
