<![CDATA[SoliForum - 3D Printing Community — Simplify3D software]]> 2015-12-01T16:13:34Z PunBB https://www.soliforum.com/topic/12866/simplify3d-software/ <![CDATA[Re: Simplify3D software]]> That's Celsius.  Without PTFE you don't have the 240c limit.  A thermistor is good to around 300 which you might need for printing PC.  With a thermocouple you can go higher than 300 but there isn't really a reason to.   There are usually firmware limits in place to keep you from overheating by setting the wrong temperature.

I definitely set the print head at 190C and the print bed at 60C

I looked in the Gcode file and that was what was in there.

So I doubt it had anything to do with the software.

As long as your temp was not set over 300 it should be fine. Even then those print heads use thermocouples and no PTFE/PEEK inserts so they should be good even over that but there are only a few things you might print at over 300 and most of them the average printer would never use..

I have a CT'c dual which is a copy of a Flashforge creator which is a copy of a Makerbot Dual so I have pretty much the same machine...
