Found out I could buy the part from makerbot over the phone. $42 dollars shipped. Would have been nice to find a cheaper solution.

Just buy the entire extruder set like I did. It's only 150 bucks and you can get a full drop in Mk10 setup. Cable and connectors all included. Just mount, plug in and go.

I was under the impression that the makerbot 2 had a MK8 extruder. I wrote him about it and he did not know which thermocouple and he did not know whether or not the threads on his screw on thermocouple were M3 which is that the makerbot 2 uses.

He has both, he sells both versions of hot ends. There is more than one page. Did you click the arrows?

So I need a new thermocouple for my makerbot 2. Makerbot doesn't sell them. The only source I can find is a 60 dollar one from Australia and I'm so not doing that. Any ideas? This is a thermocouple not a thermistor. Its an M3 screw on type.
