One big difference is the reduction in noise, it runs so much quieter with repetier.
And because it controls the motors properly, you'll see an increase in quality too.

Yes, I am happy with a the e3dv6.  It allows additional versatility that the stock head cannot compete with.

The e3d has been great for me.  it takes a lot of dialing in, but I can finally do reliable PLA, semiflex, and taulman

Da Vinci 1.0A - Removing R29 Resistor for E3D V6]]> I have the 1.0A and use table 5 with my E3Dv6.  It works well for me and my temps seem to be VERY similar to when I was using the stock head.  I was worried about this initially but really it does not matter as long as you know what your print settings/temps need to be.

Personally I wouldn't mess with the resistor.  Good luck if you proceed, lots of good folks here that may know more about the one to remove.

Didn't change anything in repetier either.
But it's an original Dav 1.0 I have.

Based on that I would say R27 is your target going by the traces.

I gave up on getting it accurate all the time as long as it's accurate at the print temp I don't care anymore Lol.

This is the resistor I (think) is the one I should remove - but its not there?

Maybe it's a different resistor number (e.g R99) instead of R29 for the 1.0A mainboard

EDIT: I've done some resistance checks on these resistors. This is what I found:

R125 - ON:99ohm,               OFF:99ohm
R27 - ON:996ohm,               OFF:549ohm
R29 - ON:NO CONTINUITY,   OFF:656ohm

I was about to remove the resistor R29 so that I can get accurate temperatures with the V6 but it looks like there is nothing there? It's a white dot.

I'm looking at the bottom of the board below the ATMEL chip - is this the right place?

I'm stumped & have no clue what to do now
