ok I think there must be a problem with my model then as I have tried similar prints like this and it works fine, im pretty useless at modelling and still learning sketchup. Is there something wrong with this? As when I slice it with either skeinforge or slicer it doesn't show the threads and makes a mess of the inside of the tube.

at the moment i have a project that requires mounting a lens to a 70mm tube. I have managed to print a male thread in two parts that I have glued together shown in the picture. The next step is to create the female thread. I cant think how I could print this out. I need the female thread to be on the inside of a 70mm internal diameter tube. The tube has an wall thickness of 2mm making it 74mm outside diameter. I have tried using skeinforge to create support material but it doesnt get it right. How would you guys try to print this?
