Thank you sir! Knowing that I recognized my X-axis was a bit crooked, with the left enough more forward than the right that the limit wasn't getting hit until the right was already impacting it's limit. It was a quick adjustment to even up the two timing belts to solve the problem.

Tremendously easier to troubleshoot knowing which bit had to be aligned correctly. As GI Joe used to say: "Knowing is half the battle."

There should be a tab on the molded gantry section left that goes into the sensor slot when it is homed.

The X (left to right) home is located the right side of the gantry and there should be a tab on hot end carriage right side that slips into the sensors groove. Many who make custom hotend carriages forget this tab or are not aware it is necessary on a Da Vinci.

I just did a major overhaul of my modded Davinci to install an E3D hot-end and a borosilicate bed. Things are working great except I apparently disabled my Y-axis limit switch, and now every time it homes it does a loud & nasty hard home. (Loud thumping of the Y stepper trying to push past its physical limit for 30ish seconds until it gives up and uses the obstructed point as home.)

Since this wasn't something I was anticipating, I really don't have any clue where the Y-axis limit switch is/was/should be.

Is it on the rear left attached to the orange wires? On the right attached to the blue wires?

Can anyone post a picture of where it is and perhaps the part that hits it to trigger it? I don't know if I broke a wire, or moved the switch while disassembling, or is my modded hot-end not properly engaging the switch? A picture would be worth a thousand words.
