It's not the reason the thermistor started working, but I thought I'd mention it, in case someone is looking for how to bypass the board.

Thanks for your help!

Okay, apparently I had the plugs for the extruder stepper motor and daughter board swapped. I realized it after looking at this diagram, which has the pinouts and wire colors for the daughter board: http://voltivo.com/forum/davinci-peersu … inci#9031.

So now I have temp readings for the nozzle and bed, but at room temperature, the bed reads 34 and the nozzle reads 85. I do have EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE set to 8. Is there something else I need to do?

I have installed an E3D Lite6 on my DaVinci 1.0 using Steven's instructions: https://youtu.be/vX9r4Ncr4dU. Everything went together without incident, but now that it's powered on, I'm getting a DEF error on both the nozzle and the bed. I'm not sure why the bed has a problem - I didn't change anything with it.

Anyways, here are some troubleshooting steps I've taken.

- connected original extruder thermistor to daughter board. Still reads DEF.
- checked resistance of both old and new thermistors. Both read the same, about 87K.
- checked for short between new thermistor and E3D head. None.
- modified configuration.h to set EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE 8

I'm not sure what to check next. Anyone have any ideas? I've read that I don't need the daughter board. If that's true, which pins to I connect the thermistor leads to?

Thanks for your help.
