But do you know if there are any plans to create 3dsmax or inventor for Mac???</p></blockquote></div><br /><p>It isn&#039;t likely...most of the workstations that mechanical Engineers use are Windows based operating systems by a wide margin; so it is not worth the development costs to create a version for the Mac OS.&nbsp; Mainstream Professional Graphic Design programs are mostly based on the Mac OS and are widely available.</p><p>Here is a link to what AutoDesk has to offer...the selections on the right side are Windows only, so don&#039;t be misled by the &quot;Run Windows Products on the Mac&quot; statement.&nbsp; They are assuming that you are running Bootcamp:</p><p><a href="http://www.autodesk.com/solutions/mac-compatible-software">http://www.autodesk.com/solutions/mac-c … e-software</a></p>]]></content>

I haven&#039;t noticed any performance issues compared to running bootcamp.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Autodesk does not have Mac compatible versions as far as I know...same for Solidworks and a lot of the other mainstream CAD products.</p><p>The best workaround to date is to install Windows on a VMware or Parallels partition on the Mac.&nbsp; I have done this and it is pretty seamless.</p>]]></content>
