The loud motors are just the nature of the Da Vinci machines. The way XYZ is driving them and controlling current is the main reason they are loud. They use a digital control method that is over driving them and making them excessively loud. The only way to change it is by swapping the mainboard for a different board such as RAMPS 1.4. There is also a user here selling dampeners but they require you to unmount the motor and place the dampener between the motor and it's mounting surface.

Don't take apart the stepper motors. They're not user serviceable. I have several stock da Vinci extruders if you want I can sell them to you cheap. Other than that just keep the rods and bearings well lubricated. Everything rise should last well beyond the 100 parts that you need to print.

I mean, they sound a lot (like i've readed it always does from many Da Vinci 1.0 posts) but I don't know if I should disassemble it and lubricate it myself or put some grease, because I think I could mess up with the stepper coil arrangement.

Also, should I buy a replacement extruder neck? (the one screwed to the copper extruder head, made from aluminium). I've read that It can be worn enough to make a huge amount of fricction, stopping the filament to come out.

Again, thanks Scobo.

Hi guys

For some reason I have not seen any post about users that have wear problems in this 3D printing, and by “wear" I mean problems that comes with very relatively large series of prints using only this machine like making it work almost 24/7 .

So I wanted to ask you guys Do any of you have had problems with wear? I'm using my da vinci to print series of 100 parts and even more , and I’m very afraid that at any moment this machine will collapse at its mounts bears, its steppers, in the neck of the extruder in a way It makes a great friction inside my extruder and whenever jamming and so on.

What do you guys advice me to do to prevent any type of wear in this type of use? wich parts should I buy? PD: Sorri 4 may bad english.
