My only problem is that I wiggle the wires and nothing seems to happen, let me keep trying, but it seems to be only messing up when I try to print something that I have slic3d with slic3r, I'm going to try and uninstall slic3r and reinstall it to see if that works. So to make that clear, It seems to print fine with the XYZware and messes up the print when using slic3r mid-print, usually towards the beginning.

My Gcode for start:

M140 S[first_layer_bed_temperature] ; Bed (no wait)
M106 S255 ; Start fan
G90 ; set absolute coordinates
G28 ; home all axis
M190 S[first_layer_bed_temperature] ; Bed (wait)
M104 S[first_layer_temperature] ; Extruder (no wait)
M109 S[first_layer_temperature] ; Extruder (wait)
M117 Start
M300 s1000 p400 ; Beep
M300 s1500 p400
M300 s2000 p400
M300 s2500 p400
M117 Cleaning
M100 ; Cleaning
G1 Z5 F1500
G1 X0 Y20 F1000
G1 X32 Y35 F1000
G92 E0 ; reset extrusion distance
G1 Z[first_layer_height] F4800.000
G1 X32 Y175 E14 F1000
G1 X32 Y190 F1000
M117 Printing

My Gcode for End

M117 Done
G92 E0 ; reset extrusion distance
M104 S0 ; turn off extruder
M140 S0 ; turn off Bed
G90 ; Absolute
G28 X0 Y0 ; home
M117 Down Bed
G1 Z200 ; Lower bed
M117 Cleaning
M100 ;Cleaning
M84 ; Disable motors
M117 Cooling
M190 S55 ; Bed (cooling)
M116 ; Wait for all temperatures
M140 S0 ; turn off Bed
M117 Pickup piece
M300 s2500 p400 ; Beep
M300 s2000 p400
M300 s1500 p400
M300 s1000 p400
M84 ; Disable motors
M117 Printer Ready

Notepad++ Header replacement

; filename = Crxls.3w
; machine = daVinciF10
; material = abs
; dimension = 51.23:45.21:24.95
; extruder = 1

Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated, I've been using these same start and end G-code for a while and they were working fine so they shouldn't be the problem but maybe they are.

The x-axis wires are likely the cause, very common problem. If you look at the right side of the printer, they can be seen on the carriage. I had this issue also and XYZ sent me a new harness which appears to be updated as my stock one was multi-colored while the replacement is all red.

X-Y Axis Print Failiure via skipping

I am currently using a Da Vinci 1.0 and I am having issues printing. The extruders seems to be skipping location and trying to resume printing in that location (X or Y, and sometimes both) kind of hard to tell which axis. Tried taking a video of what was happening so I could see what was exactly going wrong, but couldn't figure it out. I have just put in a new glass and that isn't the problem. It seems to work fine with the XYZware but when I used my sliced models from Slic3r it seems to skip. I don't think anything is wrong with my G-code because I have been using the same G-code as before on prints that have worked. When the extruder moves across x-y with speed sometimes here a higher toned click noise, not sure if that might be related.

I've looked into binding of the axis, so I lubricated the rods and it definitely sounds better, but didn't fix the problem.

I'm not sure if its the wires cutting out because it works same model will print with the XYZware.

I'm don't think it's speed related because I tried slicing the same model in Slic3r at way lower speeds and it still messed up. Also the XYZware has the extruder moving a lot faster and it seemed fine. It also seems to start skipping after it tries to do the second layer.

Is it software related, driver related, the new update for XYZ i have no idea?

If anybody has any more info or some tests that I can do to help find the root cause that would be great.
