However Carl's solution to buy one that is the right voltage is simpler and will most likely use less power any way.

So no you can't use them. The Da Vinci is kind of unique in that it actually uses three different voltages in it's system. It uses 12v, 5v, and 3.3v. But the LED strip is 5 volts. Just check ebay, you can buy 12 volt strips for dirt cheap and cut them to any length you need.
