Depends on your confidence in reverse engineering their wiring. In addition to the RAMPS you will need an LCD with 5 foot cables, and 3 optical or mechanical endstops. It will require cutting the plastic for each of the endstop mounts and cutting a hole in the back cover for a fan in addition to figuring out all the wiring. I have done it and it works well. I intend to do a write  up but am currently side tracked on my Delta rebuild.

You are missing 12 volts. The lights and LCD run on 5 volts but the board needs 12 to come up. Did you use the brass brush while the hot end heater was on?

Still, you might want to check the voltage off the supply. Could be enough for the lights but not enough for board logic.

I really don't have experience with the davinci, so I'm using general experience here. You also might want to try using a different USB cable, just to rule that out.

When I turn on the davinci nothing happens on the pc showing unknow devise or anything in the device manager. (windows 8.1)
The Davinci took four times turing off and on before the lights and LCD came on today?  Not sure  whats up with it?
