Here's a couple examples of packages that shipped last Monday via FCM and arrived within 2 days:

https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmA … 2190351297
https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmA … 2190311499

I was comparing apples to apples, FedEx is 1-3 business days, so it matches up well with domestic First Class Mail. E3D's Airmail uses USPS's First Class as the end delivery method, so it stands to reason Airmail they will take longer than domestic First Class packages.

Who's lying to you?

Also the thermistor is indeed more expensive from E3D, with or without the hotend... $5.37 vs. $4.99, and from Filastruder you get the 2 ferrules you need for it - from E3D you have to order those separately, +$1.55.

And just to clarify, the tube that is referenced here, you mean the clear tube that is normally above the rollers that you feed the fill into right? Thanks again

I modded my 1.0 for the same reasons.
Now i almost print anything.
I have the e3d 1.75 kit ( With an extra meter of tube, so you can play with this, to print flexible, the tube neem to go between the feeder rollers)
Als buy an extra temperature sensor, And surely nozzles.
My brass nozzle was unuasable after half a rol of cf .
I use the stainless 0.4, And brass 0.3 And 0.4. Buy Spares, certainly if you are changing materials, things tends to go wrong, And it is so confortable if you are in a trial And error situation, to be able to switch to a good nozzle!.

There are really only two good hot ends. The E3D as you know, then there is also the B3 PICO. The only disadvantage to the PICO is that is machined from a solid piece of stainless steel. So if you bend or break it the whole thing would need to be replaced. Its other disadvantage is it is almost twice the cost of the E3D.

Hello,

I have the 1.0 for about 8 months now, I have been very happy with it and it's been awesome to be in on the ground floor so to speak with those of us who were abe to be some of the first to unlock and flash these printers to prove it's worth to all those who said it was a piece of crap, but in doing so they were also comparing it with their 1500 dollar printers that had a 4x4x6 bring capacity (: So anyways, my printer is basically stock with the repetier firmware but it has been sitting idle for too long because of the fact that I have really been wanting to try something other than abs. I have saved the money and am wanting to buy a new hot end from E3d but just cant find any good recent source of which kit is the end all be all of hot ends. I know things have been changing very rapidly in this field, so IF someone who has been keeping up could either help me or point me to help I would really appreciate it. Basically I just need a shopping list to make sure when I get my order that, 1. I don't find out the next day I should of got something different, and 2. That I don't find out i have everything I need to do the upgrade and then have to wait for another shipment.... I am looking to try some of the newest filaments like carbon fiber and the some metal perhaps.

On another note, If anyone has a good link or source of info on anyone who has attached a laser to cut acrylic too, I would love to pick up a laser as well.

Please, if you just want to reply to tell me how dangerous it is or all the reasons why I shouldn't do the laser thing, respectfully I'd ask you to save it.
