			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I bought 3 of the thermistors from eBay (using the above link) and they look almost identical to the Solidoodle Press ones besides the connector on the bottom. The cables look a bit smaller and are not connected like the Solidoodle ones but that is fine. I had trouble fishing the wire through but eventually got it.</p><p>I decided to cut the old thermistor cable and connect them like you see in the picture below. The thermistor seemed to be giving accurate temperature readings and so I started putting it back together but I overtightened the set screw and broke the wire again. Off to rewire it again with a new thermistor...</p><p>Moral of the story, Don&#039;t over-tighten the set screw!</p>]]></content>

I would suggest picking up a soldering iron, watch some youtube videos, and practice. It is a very useful skill to have when owning a 3d printer. $35 is a scam, especially considering the $3 one from ebay is 100% identical physically and functionally to the solidoodle one. The labeling on the wiring is even the same.</p>]]></content>

(wire length and connector are different).&nbsp; Feel free to call them out on this on their FB page.</p>]]></content>

(read the comments in the fiile) Then build and flash. MacgyverX&#039;s topic on this, or the Marlin firmware support pages would have better directions than I could hope to give (My Press is pretty much stock. Did you find the beta, or verify the resulting temp?&nbsp; Also, idealy you&#039;d crank down the max temp in the firmware, as that seems to be rated for only 270, and the Press limits to 280. (No fun having a typo destroy your rig.)</p>]]></content>

That thread was really discussing the E3D thermistor. </p><p>The stock Press firmware uses Marlin firmware table 1 (for Epcos 100k). To get accurate temps with the 104GT-2 you&#039;d need to recompile/reflash the firmware configured with table 5. </p><p>Soliwiki claims Epcos B57540G0104F000 is compatible for SD printers as of 2103, but that obviously predates the Press.
