I am not sure if you have just purchased or already own a solidoodle, but I think you will find it to be in invaluable tool to help grow your industrial design skillset.  Being able to design and print your own prototypes will be some of the best experience you can get before entering the private sector.

    I'm new to this forum, and also new to this field. I'm now an industrial design senior student doing my senior thesis...Ah!Actually I'm not very excited about that. My instructor keep saying "sketch more! then you can find a job!!" But I hate sketching, there's no REAL creativity in sketching...but I have to do that...I have to follow my professor's orders to graduate..

    I've heard 3d printing for couple years and always highly excited about that. I really want have some hands on experience on that. But I don't really have time...Right now I'm like being forced to do all the boring sketch things while keep thinking 3d printing. I'm also looking forward to get a job relate to this industry, but I have no experience or any projects about this... I'm just so upset.

    Did anybody have any similar situation before..?
