I took the head out and moved the connector back into place etc and it worked.</p><p>Now after owning the machine for less than 2 months i am frustrated because i have had to go through so much to change the parts and have had no help from the company where i purchased the item for 700 australian dollars </p><p>So yeah Carl you&#039;re right I am running out of patience, be that as it may I am keen to learn and do have the patience to deal with this kind of thing, I had hoped to at least get more than two prints out of my first 3d printer before it stuffed up.</p><p>Would you be able to elaborate on how I can change the motherboard to one of the ones you spoke about.</p><p>Furthermore I wish to possibly change the extruder to an e3d kind, if someone wants to do this for me and I pay them that would be great, or if someone can give me some guidelines with benefits etc, it seems as though this printer may be great for some, but not necessarily for all, and although the parts are available, due to being in Oz and not having these readily available, they can end up being very expensive.</p><p>Hence why I want to go e3d, but have no idea how to go about this and mounting etc, connectors the lot.</p><p>Thanks in advance.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>What carl said. </p><p>I made a few tweaks to mine and did a lot of reading on what makes this machine what it is. </p><p>I make some pretty stellar prints with mine now and I&#039;m pretty satisfied with the overall performance of the machine despite it&#039;s quirks given that I only paid $450 for it. I guess I could have paid $2500 and got the same results out of a Makerbot.</p>]]></content>

Was supposed to have a jammed extruder. There was nothing wrong but the previous user not being able to follow the unload instructions.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>No need&nbsp; to feel alone the world it at your fingertips. <br />Lots of knowledgeable helpful people here. <br />I was talking to a friend this past weekend, he has a Davinci and is getting very good results. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Do you have a black or white connector at the top of the extruder assembly? if it&#039;s black, those are the earliest version and the one known to fail the most. The white ones are better but not much. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>When you say 0011 error, what exactly did you do to fix it?</p><p>The extruder heater connector is known to fail and it usually resolved by installing a more robust connector or soldering the two wires together. I removed my connector three weeks ago and soldered the wire. </p><p>The soldered connection eventually failed and I used butt splice connectors the second time around. It works fine now.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Long story short have had the crappiest time with this printer printed about two things and problems started.</p><p>I have the 1.0a model and live in Australia, I had to do the fix for the 0011 error because of the new motherboard, and it started working again, I have put repetier firmware on the machine and it started working again, briefly.</p><p>Now I keep getting def error on the heater side of the display and can&#039;t understand what went wrong.</p><p>Do i need a new motherboard?</p><p>Is there a way I can replace motherboard with another machine or cheaper option and still use repetier??</p><p>Please help I am frustrated no one here in Sydney knows what to do with this machine.</p>]]></content>
