I had alot of trouble with PEI until I built and enclousre and cranked my heated bed temp to 125.

I've tried it and it was OK. I' think glue stick works better but nothing works as well as hairspray on glass for me.

Wow! that is some serious adhesion!
just out of curiosity - have you tried reheating the bed at least partially before attempting to pry off the part? perhaps that would help?

personally, I have not had any success with the hairspray, but the glue stick works pretty well for me.

can i alsso suggest this to help a nice pallet knife available at most art stores as thin as a razorblade very flexible unlike a scraper but just as usefull

So you put the entire piece of glass with the parts on it in a bowl of water. Then but the whole thing in the microwave for ten minutes?

edit: I follow you put the parts with the broken glass stuck to them in the microwave.

Problem solved. Boiled the parts in a bowl of water in the microwave for 10 minutes. Glass slid off.

No issues with tempered glass and hair spray. I just put it in the freezer after the print and it slides off in about 3 minutes

I haven't separated the glass layers - yet! I'm only using Lowes Window glass cut by me and Aqua Net, and have been using it for over a year - the same 2 pieces. I use a single edged razor blade and something solid to bang with to separate either cold or hot. I'm not afraid to use a fair amount of hair spray, so I don't know if that's your problem or not.

There are a multitude of folks out there that wish they had some of your problem!

I have never separated glass like that....... wouldn't know how to do it if I had to.

I do follow your procedure with the razor except I don't let it cool. It's when I let it cool that I have this problem. If I remove the part immediately after the print completes using the razor blade on all sides followed by the spackling knife I can peel it up without incident (other than burned knuckles). In fact, I don't think I've ever had this happen with a hot bed. The part in the picture, however, was a job I started before going to bed (safety has been addressed so lets not sidetrack :-)) and so it had cooled fully. In the morning, I stuck the razor under one side, and POP it popped off - taking the glass with it.

The reason I clean so often is I am trying for consistency - trying to turn the art of adherence into a science. I find I can modulate the stickiness very well by changing the extrusion width for first layer parameter in slicer. For small parts, I go with 100% but for a large part prone to warping, I will dial this all the way up to 200% and it works quite well (as you can see :-)). The bigger thread holds more heat and has more time to adhere.

I think the problem is the hairspray actually adheres more as it cools so if I set the extrusion low enough to not permanently adhere when cool, it doesn't adhere enough when hot for large prints. Maybe I should try different hairspray. I am not using the recommended Aquanet ultrahold since the generic hairspray at Walmart has been working really well (except for this issue). I'll find some Aquanet and see if it behaves any differently.

To answer your question, one of two things works for me. Let it cool and it will simply come loose or use a razor blade scraper to get under one edge then work all the way around the part. Don't pry up just keep working around the edge until you can get no more blade under (about 1/4"). Then pry slightly and it should peel up or pop off. If not then let is cool some more and repeat.
Seriously though you are simply cleaning your glass too much and using way too much hairspray. I like that you have taken the process to the extreme limits as it shows just how powerful the bond can be. But if a simple single light mist on the glass (maybe every 10-15 prints) doesn't adhere your prints to the bed, there is a good chance something else isn't correct.
I am a huge proponent of sticking with something that works but not if it is simply masking some other issue.

I've never had any problems if I just wait long enough for it to cool all the way down, it just comes right off. The only time I have trouble is if I'm in a hurry and want to get it off the glass before it is cooled.
