Now I have my printer on the E3D with bowden feed I have found I can run at like 80-90mm feed on perimeters and 100 on the support and infill get prints much faster with the head been so light now cannot fault it was so easier than what I thought it would be

It does not work that way. If you specify a .2 layer layer height and a .4 width the volume layed down will be the same regardless of the nozzle size or the filament size. I would not be surprised if suffered from extrusion control issues though if tried printing .2 or .1 with a .5 or greater nozzle.

There also must be X amount of time between layers so the layer is not soft on the next pass.

There is only so much speed you can get from these machines. They are not meant for production. You have injection molding for that. The Da Vinci especially is one of the slower machines on the market.

If you really want speed, I would suggest a large volume Delta/Kossel or convert your Da Vinci to a Bowden setup. The main issue is the head is considerably heavy in this printer which limits acceleration, decelerating,  and direction change speeds.

What is your reasoning for 3mm for infill? The extruded amount will still be the same regardless since it is based on nozzle size and layer height. Not the filament size. You will still use the same amount of filament.

Does anyone know what aftermarket gear will work ?

so its going to have its firmware changed and will proberly use simplify3d with external filament rolls

I thought it would sqeeze it out faster with larger nozzle to cut down on print time for sections where quality does not matter , as I can choose my heat / speed ect based on location of the model

I thought that was the whole idea of 3mm filaments ?
