I'm just gonna wire it up with switch to make it easy. I saw someone put their switch into the metal case but I wasn't sure about doing that because I need to take my case off to print in PLA but I suppose the fan should eliminate the need to do that.

* Connect the fan to the mainboard
* Update the firmware to enable the fan, and to use the correct pin

This all depends on which board you have: Is it a sang or a solidoodle printrboard?

Otherwise, just connect it in parallel with the LED strip (this is 12V), and use a switch to control it.
