I actually just ordered the 8" one direct from SD. It bolts onto the same platform so I did not have to mess with any new holds. It heats up faster and holds heat much better than the 6".

An extra 10x10 is not a huge upgrade and as stated I really bought it for better heating. I am pleased with the results.

So I bought a larger bed for my SDWA. Mostly to get a better heated area and to maximize the print area. That being said it originally had a 6"x6" (150mmx150mm) bed and I put an 8"x8" (200mmx200mm). The full zeroed out limits of the carriage is 170x160.

My questions are these:

1. Can I set my printed area to that maximum 170x160 now that there is a bed that covers that area? Or do I need to leave it at the 150x150? Will this freak it out and cause some kind of havoc?

2. Pending I can change my printed area do I need to adjust the center mark from 75x75 to something else? It should still be the center.
