			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I have tried to run the PID autotune with a cold extruder and it would time out every time (on an SD4).</p><p>Pre-heat the extruder to your desired temp, then turn it off and run the M command immediately after...</p><p>M301 Sxxx C8 - where xxx = your desired temp. the C8 tells it to run 8 times - i think the default run is 3 times?</p><p>This method has worked great for me and I get pretty good results with the changes made.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>The PID autotune cycles as many times as you request, so the actual tuning happens at temperature. I use 8 cycles. The more cycles, the better your PID calibration will be up to a limit</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I think it&#039;s cement but if everything is properly strain relieved I don&#039;t believe you need it anyway. Maybe run a pid autotune just in case it affects temperature a bit.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Can&#039;t tell you exactly what it is, but I did the same, and repaired it quite well with plain-ole-JB Weld.&nbsp; Worked great till I replaced the hot end with an E3D.&nbsp; A lot cheaper than some thermal compound.&nbsp; Give it a try..</p><p>Ski</p>]]></content>
