As you can see from the pictures there is so much glob of stuff on the bottom of my print I can't even see my manully created supports. So there is no way to messure the supports. I know the supports worked fine in the XYZprinting software. It appears that in the software view that the supports are 4mm in size not 2mm. At least it look that way to me on my screen. Some times i get the Supports to look like 2mm Supports when adding to the design. I am not sure if this is a bug. Unless I am placing Supports in places where Supports are not needed. I am using supports to help stick the object to the printer bed. I tried using a Raft instead of using Supports and that basicly printed the same as in the pic. A flat piece on the bottom of the object that fills in the part that is not supposed to be filled in per other pic.
Thanks for the help.

have you measured the support blocks to see if they are 4mm or 2mm? Also try moving them away from the sides to the outer edges some so that they (support) dont bond to the model. But it looks like you have other print problems besides the support. Turn your support angle to 45 and see if that works any better.

Hi,
I broke down and got the Simplify3D software for my XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 printer. I am having issues where i just want to print a couple of Supports that I manually placed on my object. I think the 4 picture describe my problem. i have included 2 pictures of the printed object and 2 pics showing my setting screen. One question is that I have a 2.0mm thick support but it looks to me like the suppots in the graphics are printing at 4,0mm.

One picture shows how i printed the part on its' side but it is still not printing great as you can see..
Any suggestions?

John
