Yeah, I forgot Solidoodle now uses an induction probe for "auto leveling". I used to have one of those on my Printrbot Simple, and after a while I went back to a regular switch.

Anyway, I don't know how Solidoodle tells you to solve the problem, but on the Printrbot, you could set an offset. Basically, you would adjust it mechanically to where the proximity of the bed would trigger the sensor, then you would use GCode commands to fine tune it by creating an offset to the actual trigger point.

Again, I don't know if this is going to work for you, but try this:

In Repetier, go to the Manual Control tab, and in the GCode box, type M501. That will dump the EEPROM settings currently in your printer, into the log below.

Look for a line that starts with M212. It should says something like:

M212 X20.00 Y0.00 Z0.00

Your actual X, Y and Z values will probably be different. They represent the probe offset from the tip of the print head. Leave the X and Y values alone, the only value we're concerned with is the Z value.

To make the print head start lower than what it currently does, you need to make that value smaller. If the value is 0, then you need to use negative numbers. For example, if the value is currently Z0.00, try using something like Z-0.20. That will lower the head by .2mm

So using the example above, on the GCode command line you would type M212 Xxx.xx, Y20.00 Y0.00, Z-0.20.

Don't forget, the X and Y values you input remain the same as what you currently have, you only change the Z value.

After you type the command and hiot enter, type M500 to store the settings into the EEPROM. Then once again type M501, and look for the M212 line to verify your new values have been stored.

Then start the print again. This is going to be something of a back and forth until you get it right, but this is how it's done on the Printrbot anyway, hopefully it's not any different on the Solidoodle.

Good luck
