Check you get the 5V and GND around the right way (multimeter!), D+/D- while more confusing is also less of a hazard haha.</p><p>I&#039;ve soldered a usb cable straight into those 4 pins on mine (came without a header), for fixed installation into the RPi. Works a charm.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>The RUMBA has a COM1 port which can be substituted for the USB port, you just need a 4 pin molex. Use one of the motor cables that came with the RUMBA and splice it into a USB cable. The rumba wiki has the details on the port and how to wire it up:</p><p><a href="http://reprap.org/wiki/RUMBA#USB">http://reprap.org/wiki/RUMBA#USB</a></p><p>The color coding can be found here<br /><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB#Pinouts">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB#Pinouts</a><br />(Vcc = Vbus, mass=GND)</p><p>Just make sure you match up everything correctly or you could fry the rumba</p>]]></content>

There are 4 open spots that are in a box labeled USB right by the usb port area, so I think I can solder something there, but I have no idea what to do.</p>]]></content>
