			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>it&#039;s definitely a burned up MOSFET. if the resistor failed I would expect the circuit to be open, not closed. regardless, i have never seen a pulldown/pullup resistor fail that wasn&#039;t my fault.</p>]]></content>

Pull down resistors don&#039;t typically just fail. Underrated or counterfeit FETs (remember this was assembled in China with little to no QC) can definitely fail on. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I had that issue, noticed the heating resistor in the aluminum block was loose, re-centered the resistor, tightened the set screw, and issue has not re-occurred.&nbsp; Set screw is on bottom of block, also check thermistor set screw...</p>]]></content>
