cool. the block rent thing is used by a couple members on here, it dont work in some areas due to school policy restrictions with profit businesses selling through school. meant to curb profiteering and conflict of interest with non-profits but kinda hurts the freedom of access for students also. while costing school more to purchase and fund new projects like 3D printing for curriculum. seems lots of old fashion board members dont understand this or care.

Yeah, interesting indeed. So if I understand their model correctly, they will basically "loan" you the printer at your location for an unlimited number of use, while charging you a subscription fee... Pretty smart actually. Now, I wonder what would happen if the printer breaks? I assume a technician from the company would come over and fix the machine? I have actually thought of doing something like this for the schools in my community here in California, but just haven't had the courage to go talk to them... Not only that, I simply don't know how, or who to talk to... LOL Instead of charging them a subscription though, I thought of charging them hourly blocks. Since I have multiple printers in my shop, I was thinking of charging them some dollar amount for every 100 hours or so. Students/teachers would send me the STL files, I would print them, send printed model(s) back, you guys get the idea...
