And you need to home the printer Each time you power up and connect  as it powers up at 0,0.0 so unless that is where it is parked it needs to be homed.

My machine is an UP Mini and the Z axis end stop is at the bottom of the machine instead like other machines where it is a top.
Is there a way to add a line to the firmware, which is G-code, to tell the machine to go to the max travel before printing?
