Your E3Dv6 kit came with 2 fans??

strange. Also, the 24v fan makes no sense really because you can't get more than 12volts out of the stock motherboard from the fan mounts.

Yeah they claimed to send me the wrong voltage fan, so they send me a 24v later.
Who knows what happened? maybe they sent me the right fan first, and the wrong one afterrwards? dunno

Really? How did you manage with the fan though? isnt the fan that comes with the kit 24volt?

from reading this thread it seems the fan output is 12v on the motherboard.

The factory fan on the press is 12V.

This is exactly what I'm saying...

The kit you get for the E3DV6 is 24volts including the fan (24v as well).

what did you do? the output is 12volts for the fan. Is there a work around for this? or do you have to solder the fan on to the board 24v input like someone else did on this thread?

Sorry I should have been more clear. We are using the Factory fan with this mount seen below.

Cool mod, how do you avoid the fan hitting the front part of the printer when g29 it's active?

I run the printer with Matter Control. It only probes in the middle of the bed.

Re: E3Dv6 on Solidoodle Press

For the record, G29 works with SolidoodlePress_Shipped_FW_E3D_Ready but NOT with SolidoodlePress_Latest_FW_E3D_Ready

it absolutely does. I'm using it and G29 is part of my gcode in cura for all prints.

I've printed about a dozen items since building this upgrade using this firmware

The reason why it may not work is because your settings are gone and need to reset your settings to default. There's a gcode to do this.

This happened to me the first time I updated my fw through the HID bootloader

Ah, gotcha. Resetting the firmware defaults (M502) worked

Yes. You do.

Then design one. That fits in the same space without cutting in Z-

Yea Sorry. I had a couple life events happen. I am back on the horse now. After I am done doing my gantry mod, I'll do a big push to github

No.

for the people that did the non-bowden e3d v6 mod, what did you guys do about the Z-endstop?
