Well, alright then.
Vendor Review
Revolve3D.com
TL;DR: Great guys, good prices, will continue to buy from them.
I took advantage of Revolve3D's promotional "free shipping" deal, and picked up a 10lb box of MG94 for $38 shipped. From what I understand, Revolve3D carried on where OSPrinting left off, so the stock is the same glorious, creamy MG94 we know and love.
The filament arrived, well sealed, in a somewhat overstuffed USPS Priority Mail box. I'm fine with this, USPS is gentle with my stuff and the plastic inside was well protected.
Cracking open the box gave me these four bags, and a packing slip. My assumption is the larger bags are a consistent size and topped off with the smaller ones to make weight. The large bags are an ounce short of 4 pounds, and the small bags are 1.25 pounds. The per-bag measurement doesn't really matter, it's just something I noticed.
Here's my packing slip. Let's see if they short-changed me. It didn't happen with OSPrinting, doesn't happen with Ultimachine, and cannot happen here.
I ORDERED 10 POUNDS YOU JERKS. NOW I HAVE TO THROW AWAY THESE 3 EXTRA OUNCES.
The resin is what we expect.
I see you hiding in there you little asshole. I'm glad they include dessicant, because the plastic really does need to stay dry, but I always end up losing a packet as I pour it into my hopper, and only find out a day later when it's all clogged up. Maybe I'll use one of my fancy new-fangled plastic crapping robots to print a large sieve for my funnel.
As for the people, I've had great experiences talking with them. I've only communicated via email (and, really, wish I could everywhere) -- and Trevor has been very responsive even at weird hours and on normal "days off". I believe the prices are very fair for resin, especially considering how hard it's becoming to get MG94, and the service has been nothing short of exactly what I would expect as an over-entitled neckbearded internet shopper.
