Yes, they would.  I have been trying the various distributors, so far UK MOQ (min order qty) is 1,250kg, so 1.25 tonnes.  This is a bit much for 4 who have currently shown interest on this forum.

I'm progressing will all leads at the moment though.

If anyone has other ideas/leads, please feel free to drop me a line...

I've still got some other leads, so waiting for that to come through as well. 

Then I guess we need to agree next steps.  I'm playing with the numbers and will post back here.

If anyone else has ideas then let me know as I don't want to duplicate effort, but I am happy to take the lead on ordering in bulk when I know we have found the best deal and then redistributing.  Of course, the re-bagging and re-shipping will take some effort and add to the cost, but the numbers seem to stack up as the prices seem to come down dramatically as bulk goes up.

Hi Guy's just to through it out there,

I was a Beta tester, got cracking results from ABS from plastribution!

Can't remember the exact resin but honestly it was some of the best filament I ever had! Much better than stuff from ebay suppliers etc etc....

Still got 20kg left in the sack I ordered although I can't sell it! Cost me/my work ~ £100 but it is a lot of plastic!

If anyones interested PM me and I'll find the exact order that I made!

Also I'm interested in ordering a bunch for myself (personal) might be able to use my academic sway to get a discount, last time I paid around £4 a kilo.

I agree that it would be usefull for all to know.  I do however suspect that the suppliers are starting to feel harassed given some of the responses I've had, so co-ordinating our efforts into a bulk buy might make more sense.

I am also investigating trying to get a decent supply chain going, but struggling to do so at the moment given the points I made above.

Apologies for going a bit quiet, I've been trying to progress the leads I have.

I fear that MG94 is simply not going to happen in the EU/UK at this point.  I can get it, but the lead times and cost are plain silly.

I am about to place an order for a locally available sample quantity (i.e. 1x25kg bag) of pellets which I would like to distribute to the UK/EU users who are interested in testing.  Sort of a Beta test of the pellets.

I will need to recover costs of these pellets, as although the word "Sample" is included above, that simply means they'll sell me one bag for testing.  Instead of the normal 500/1000kg MOQ's.

The only proviso of the "beta programme" is that you advise whether it is worth ordering in bulk for the everyone.

If you are potentially interested, then please PM me with at least your Town/Country and how much you would want to test (e.g. 1,2 or 5 kg).  Shipping into Europe could turn out expensive, Royal Mail looks like about £7-odd per kg, so may not be practical.  If you have any ideas on this, let me know.  Shipping in the UK can be done via courier for higher weights which can be quite cheap.

PM'ing me is not a commitment to buy as of course I don't have a final price yet, I'm trying to get this as low as possible.  I'll post here as soon as I know.

I've ordered 25kg of ABS.  It is Magnum 8391.  It has a lower MFI than MG94, but at least it can be bought in the UK at reasonable quantities.

If anyone wants some, it will be £4.50/kg + shipping, so a bit cheaper than MG94 in the US.  Looks like UK shipping will be about £6 per kg via Royal Mail, but if multiple kgs are wanted then a courier will be cheaper (Parcel Monkey says £8.39 for up to 10kg).

Shipping to Germany looks like c.£18 for 5kg.

I am also ordering some Masterbatch which I can share out, but waiting for final pricing as I am only planning on buying 1kg each of a selection of colours so will ample to colour more than the 25kg of pellets I'm buying.
