Topic: Inexpensive glass bed mod (DIY tutorial video)

So my local dollar store sells 6" x 6" mirrors, a 3-pack for only $2 ... figured what the hell, why not give it a shot?

Turns out they work pretty well! I've made a video showing how to do the mod yourself, it's super easy and requires no modification to the Solidoodle!

You need to adjust the z tab rather than the offset in Slic3r.  National you do it will always try to home above the nozzle.  You might need a longer bolt or extend it with something like a motherboard offset.

The Kapton on mirror is pretty.  I should do that since I have had prints peel a layer of glass from the surface before.
