Topic: Latest prints looking pretty rough, I need help diagnosing please.

Hey guys..  so I have a XYZ 1.0a with repetier using Slic3r and I've had it for about a year.  Lately my prints are looking worse and worse.   I can't seem to figure this one out though.   I'm using ABS 250c/98c and some areas look fine, then some look over and under extruded.    Any ideas on what's going on?

I would try setting your gap fill speed to 0 in Slic3r and running a test print. I ran afoul of a Slic3r bug a while back that can make this sort of thing happen - the current stable version will miscalculate and massively overextrude certain gap fills which can create things like this.

It's fixed in the development builds, and I suspect it's also fixed in the modified Slic3r that the Prusa folks are shipping these days. I keep meaning to try that out - it seems like for now that's the closest we're going to get to a new version of Slic3r.
