Well... you see, sir, uh, it's uh... well, it's beCAUSE it's so little... that's it! It's BECAUSE it is so MINIATURIZED and, uh, stuff, that uh, we REGRET to have to charge a high but FAIR price... yeah, that's it.

I looks kind of like an Ultimaker beefed up for milling, so it probably has similar costs.   Also think of it as trading build volume for enclosure, which a CNC usually doesn't have, so it evens out.  On the other hand Inventables has one with double the workspace for $1000 less.
