Topic: Joe grundfast's War Machine 3D Model

As some of you already know, I'm currently printing a large(er) scale model of Joe Grundfast's wonderful 3D rendition of the War Machine.  I'm printing mine on a Form 1+ SLA printer, and you can see my progress here:

Joe originally posted the model in its original format, Z-Brush, but most of us don't have this program, or know someone that can convert it to something we could use.

So for this reason, I thought I'd put up the 2 files converted to standard OBJ format.  Since these files are huge (1.25GB total), I posted DropBox links for those that want to download it.

A word of warning.  This is a huge model, so unless you have the ultimate, über machine at your disposal, I suggest decimating the model down to at least half the number of polygons, or you will not be able to work with it.

A couple of notes on these files:

These are NOT ready to print file, rather they are the raw files that were posted by the designer, Joe Grundfast, I just converted them to OBJ format for those that don't have the means to do that for themselves.  They will most definitely require a lot of work to make them print worthy.

Also the files will be available for download for a week.  So if you want them, get them while you can.

Enjoy.

To print or, 3D print, that is the question...

Here is the finished model, all ready for battle.  The only missing thing is a display case.
