Its great that Pinshape is no longer closing. Sounds like they managed to make an 11th hour deal.

you all do know it mostly just is a search engine of other 3D file depository sites dont you? kinda like other such search engine sites which just harvest your sign in Info to sell for adware. I use yobi2d.com for that but some sites block such search engines to preserve copyrights e.g. 123d has a repository you must register to use and its layered meaning some files require membership fees or user fees to download. there are others like this too. as for their print and sell feature I have tried many and even though none are great at this, so far 3Dhubs is still the leader and its been near dead for a couple years now. and I am talking about all types of 3D files and similar. if you just want good usable STL files you will likely find over 90% at Thingiverse. several other sites are as bad as Gamer sites for malware etc.

in fact if you go to the pinshape home page of designs, most of them are just links to Thingiverse files same as any 3D stl file search engine site
