Topic: Fan connectors on Geeetech

Hey guys
I'm trying to add fans to my geeetech prusa i3 but they use connectors that aren't standard for fans. I don't want to spend 20 on shipping just to buy their 40mm fans. Can anyone tell me what type of connectors these are and how to convert/adapt/ do something to use standard fans?

I believe they are called JST mini series... You will also need the pins and the crimping tool. You would be better off finding a more common style with the same pin spacing and just replacing them as the crimping tool alone is over 50 bucks.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
Anycubic 4MAX best $225 ever invested.
Voxelabs Proxima SLA. 6 inch 2k Mono LCD.
Anycubic Predator, massive Delta machine. 450 x 370 print envelope.

That seems to be them. Not 100% sure. I ordered a 20 pack of leads and I'll just strip the fans and solder the leads on. I can't believe the crimping tool is that expensive but oh well. Thanks for the reply.

Although the plugs are JST connections, you can use plain hitachi/servo style connectors on the pins, just like for an Arduino. (The same type that are on the end-stop switches.)  They are not as secure, but they work.   Amazon sells a JST connector set for about $18 or you can buy the servo connectors at many places on line.   I basic wire crimp tool is all you need to install them.   I trimmed many of the wires on my printer and replaced the ends.

The fan uses a JST PH, 2mm, 3-pin connector.
The Thermistors and Endstops use a JST XH, 2.5mm, 2-pin connector.

You can buy them on eBay with leads, eliminating the need for a crimping tool if you solder and shrink-tube the connections.
