New features are added pretty regularly.  Sometimes these new features require additional dependencies.  If you purchased an ATLAS 3D then you should update via the ATLAS 3D software itself instead of Github.

I assume that I have to get it running first :-))  I am a KS backer and an thing to put things together for the first time using the acrylic kit.

Re: Lost in Github FreeLSS install

If I have the electronics board connected, can I simply put power into the Pi to d these updates, or is it a requirement to use the electronics board to power the whole system once connected?

Graham,

You should power it via the electronics board and not the Pi.

Re: Lost in Github FreeLSS install

Got it!  Of course I see that it is impossible to do that as soon as I sent the email.  :-(

When I power up, the Pi has lights, but does NOT get as far as getting an IP and appearing on the network (I have been doing all the work via ssh).  So, my plan is to take out the card and run it in another Pi.  The Pi in the Atlas is a Pi 2 and the Pi I will work on is the V1B+.  Will that matter for compilation etc?

Got the camera cable last night.

Thanks.

Re: Lost in Github FreeLSS install

I finally put together my kickstarter Atlas this w/e. When I first powered up, it didn't recognize the USB wifi dongle (even though I changed config file for my SSID). So I connected a cable to get going.

Under Settings, I selected Upgrade (seemed like a good idea at the time), and now the web server won't even start on the Pi. There's an error message when the Pi boots: "/usr/local/bin/freelss: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Thoughts anyone?

Re: Lost in Github FreeLSS install

Odd but looks like your system is missing libjpeg.  Did you use the SD card that came with the ATLAS 3D kit?  I'm not in front of a Pi right now but the command should be the following.

sudo apt-get install libjpeg

Then reboot.

Re: Lost in Github FreeLSS install

I did use the sd card it came with (and it worked, before upgrading via the web interface)
I just downloaded the new byop image and installed that last night, and now everything is working correctly.

Thanks!
