Topic: Solidoodle CS bungling the cancelling of my filament...

Dunno if it's appropriate to post issues with customer service here, or if this is just for hardware issues... but...

I purchased my Press during the preorder window when it was $399, and ordered two spools of $43 filament at the same time.  They have not shipped me any filament, and after reading some suggestions here I ordered some from Amazon at a much lower price.  I contacted their CS to see if they could cancel the filament from my order.

Because they're swamped it took them a few days to reply.  When they finally did, the guy said "OK I've removed the filament" but made no mention of a credit coming back to my card.  After checking some things out, I see that the price for the Press in my order when viewed on their site has now been changed to the regular sale price of $599.  Yes the filament no longer shows on my order, but the total price is actually higher now than what it was before including the filament.

I have emailed them again, and hopefully in a couple of days when they get around to it they'll set things straight.  I am not posting this as a complaint, just as a warning to anyone else who may be cancelling unshipped filament off of their orders.  Please go in and make sure your order gets handled correctly and keep an eye on things to make sure a credit really comes back to you.

Dang it I think I just reported your post instead of replying...  D'oh, sorry about that...

I was charged the full amount up front, $533 and change...   that's $399 for the Press, $86 for two spools of filament and about $48 for the shipping.

If it helps anything, they screwed up my filament order too....
I ordered 2 spools for the Press and received 2 standard rolls that do NOT fit the press. I contacted CS and sent them back. A few weeks later I get an e-mail saying my filament has been shipped. Turns out they sent the same 2 rolls back to me. I sent them back earlier this week for 2nd time and they "assure" it will not happen again. Maybe they will get it right 3rd time.

Re: Solidoodle CS bungling the cancelling of my filament...

I just received my filament that i had pre-ordered with the press...  I ordered green, as shown on the solidoodle site.  What I received was "Pine Green", both by my estimation, and by the name printed directly on the label.  It is nothing like what they show on their website.  I've contacted them for a refund or the color they show for sale.

It's one disappointment after another with this company.  The Press seemed to have a lot of potential, but they really need to pay attention to customer service. hmm
